Long story short, I accidentally had my Sonic sitting on a jackstand with its rocker panel

Kinja'd!!!

No serious damage though. Probably bent/broke a clip, the panel isn’t lining up like it used to in the spot around the clip. It isn’t noticeable enough for me to care right now.

Stupid shit happens, I'm just glad it wasn't worse. Damn jackstands, I never have a good time with them...

Just to be sure it doesn’t happen again.. if it can take the weight of the vehicle, (ie, towing point, mounting points, etc...) it should be safe to lift from.

I once gave the Jetta too much throttle while trying to drive up ramps and ended up shooting them underneath me and driving right over them. Felt pretty dumb.

I once threw a couple lugs on the wheel just to push it up the driveway and had my jackass brother help me push it and the wheel fell off...and the drum hit the road. it was just a vw beetle so there wasnt any damage save for my ego.

I’ve always been worried about doing that.

Didn’t do any damage luckily. Ever since I've been very light with the throttle. It's a lot easier with my Envoy. I just put it in 4LO and crawl right up.

Did I ever tell you about the time I put my Toyota 4x4 in 4WD, the light lit up, but the lever wasn’t quite in the groove? Dumped that pickup on its side in a snowstorm, lucky there was nothing coming the other way. A few good ol’ boys helped me push it up onto its wheels, and I drove it home. $1600 worth of damage, and a junkyard mirror. I felt so dumb.

Came close to doing that changing the oil in my 300D. They are easy to overshoot.
